
Don't put your face on just yet, Coops: we've got problem with this
The Crow remake, and not just that it's a generally bad idea that will rouse the already rightfully-angered soul of Brandon Lee. Relativity Media just last week added Bradley Cooper to the production, and they were set for a fall start for director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, but the always litigious Weinstein Company have dampened those plans with a lawsuit that seeks an injunction against the studio. According to the Weinsteins--who already
have an ongoing case with Michael Moore, and are also
legally fighting a claim that diabetic Harvey Weinstein got down on all fours to eat M&Ms off the floor--they're entitled to worldwide distribution rights on the film, and they allege that Relativity is threatening to sell those rights off to whoever will pay the most to release an ill-conceived remake of
The Crow. Relativity was quick to respond,
and released this statement:
