Sony Pictures Animation Gains 'Instant Karma' with Fantasy Comedy

It seems kind of ironic that a project called Instant Karma picked up by New Line Cinema back in 2003 because anything but a quickly put together project, but that's Hollywood for ya. However, Heat Vision reports the project has life again with Sony Pictures Animation picking up the fantasy comedy about a misguided safecracker from New Orleans who dies but suddenly finds himselfreincarnated as a fly. As the hero does good deeds to improve his karma, hemoves up the food chain through a variety of animals, such as a frog, raccoon and dog, trying to get back to his human body and the woman heloves.

This sounds a little bit like The Incredible Mr. Limpet (which has a remake in development with Richard Linklater potentially at the helm). Honestly, the story sounds intriguing, but I wish it wasn't a live-action CG hybrid. Sony Pictures Animation has actually impressed me ...
