Don't get us wrong here, X-Men: First Class is a film that we're very much looking forward to. But while Matthew Vaughn's mutant tale has produced some extremely promising trailer footage and has one of the tastiest casts around, this poster smacks of near-fatal Photoshopping.
Just take a look at this latest one-sheet from the prequel/reboot. No, we don't remember the cast being composed entirely of hobbits either. Nor their heads being far too big for their bodies.
Then there's the general lack of necks on most of the mutants here, the perennial problem of the disappearing shadows / reflections on the floor, and a general lack of co-ordination, walking-wise.
We're kind of hoping that someone accidentally sent out the rough draft of this poster, to be honest. Otherwise it appears that we may have another submission for Empire's Ultimate Collection Of Badly Photoshopped Movie Posters, and no-one wants that.
Check out the poster below, but don't be put off. We reckon it'll still be worth getting in line when X-Men: First Class hits screens on June 1.
