Kate Beckinsale Might Take Sharon Stone's 'Total Recall' Part

Diane Kruger and Kate Bosworth were in a tight race for the part, but in the end, nepotism won an easy victory in the competition for the latest part in Len Wiseman's Total Recall remake. Kate Beckinsale--who just happens to be Wiseman's wife, having hooked up in the darkness of the Underworld set--has been offered the part of Lori, the deceptively wife-like character played by Sharon Stone in the 1990 Paul Veerhoven original. If she accepts, she'll be joining the already-cast Colin Farrell, who's got the Arnold role, and Bryan Cranston, the leader of Euromerica, the made-up place we're needlessly using in place of Mars in this goddammer. Could reportedly be a while before we get official work, though, as Beckinsale is currently doing God's work, shooting a fourth chapter of the Underworld series. Don't distract her while she's being a bondage vampire, please.
