1st Week of April

Movies I saw the first week of April...

Elephant Walk, Hot Fuzz, Paul, Pathfinder, Star Trek, Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, Fighting, Raintree County, Secretariat

Elephant Walk- Elizabeth Taylor wasn't horrible in this movie, but it wasn't a good movie. I recommend fast forwarding to the last 10 minutes. That's the best part and you don't really miss anything.

Hot Fuzz- I love this movie. Saying "the greater good" in that deadpan voice has become part of my vocabulary. Some of the violent scenes are shot so beautifully. I love the gore!

Paul- I liked this movie. The friendship between Simon Pegg and Nick Frost is fun to watch. I laughed out loud quite a bit watching this one.

Pathfinder- I just bought this, so I had to watch it. Yum, Karl Urban is hot! I forgot about the blood spilled, but it was shot pretty well. I love the scene where the vikings fall off the mountain.

Star Trek- Watching one Karl Urban made me want more. I could watch this movie once a week. I love everything about it. It deserved more attention from the Oscars.

Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest- It started right where Played With Fire left off, but I still didn't need to watch it to figure out the story. I loved the way the story ended up. Very very good.

Fighting- Not bad. I wasn't sure if I would like it, but I love Channing Tatum. It was worth the $1 rental.

Raintree County- Elizabeth Taylor was brilliant. I liked this story. I will have to look up the book to read. It was a fascinating story.

Secretariat- I loved the excitement in this movie. I knew the outcome, but it was cool to watch.
